BEADED POP ART
During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, I sought refuge from the crowded city by staying at my parents' house in Ridgewood, NJ. Over the four months I spent there, I discovered a new hobby—creating bead art inspired by my favorite pantry and kitchen items. Starting with a fruit bowl, I progressed to crafting pieces like the Quaker Oats container. This practice became a form of meditation, allowing me to shift my focus away from the world's uncertainty at that time.
I use Czech glass beads and mosaic glue, often incorporating cardstock or repurposed food packaging into my creations. Crafting these pieces has not only been creatively fulfilling but also a therapeutic outlet for me.
